Based in Lexington, Kentucky, Curation International is an online gallery specializing in ancient and ethnographic sculpture with an emphasis on Pre Columbian, North American Indian and Eskimo Art. Our goal is to provide museum quality works of high historical and aesthetic merit.
We are known for our expertise in prehistoric stone sculpture from Central America and the Southeastern United States as well as for ethnographic art from the Northwest Coast and Arctic regions.
Curation International's CEO, Kevin Downs, holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Western Washington University and has spent three years (2005-2008) scientifically excavating prehistoric Native American sites throughout the United States as a professional archaeologist. From 2008-2010 he worked in museum collections as the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) Project Assistant at the Grand Rapids Public Museum.
We are committed to upholding the highest legal and ethical standards and show the utmost respect and appreciation for the Tribes and cultures who have created these wonderful works.
Whether you are curating your first artifact or adding to a collection, we can help you reach your collecting aspirations. Ancient art speaks to us and draws an emotional response. Handling and admiring a recently curated artifact from your personal collection is a luxury we are sure you will enjoy.
