A stunning and significant Pre Columbian Mayan Ball Court Marker with a carved skeletal deity. Speaking glyphs are emerging from the mouth and a second figural image is carved above the skull. Measures 12" diameter and weighs 30 lbs. Published and Exhibited in "Man Came This Way, Objects from the Phil Berg Collection" by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, 1971.
