A stunning and significant Pre Columbian Mayan Ball Court Marker with a carved skeletal deity. Speaking glyphs are emerging from the mouth and a second figural image is carved above the skull. Measures 12" diameter and weighs 30 lbs. This piece was deaccessioned from the Los Angeles County Museum and is accompanied with an Art Loss Register Certificate #8708(22).AR. Custom Mount included.
