An expressive and naturalistic standing pottery figure with arms folded inward to the chest. Xochipala culture pottery figures, such as this, are known to be some of the earliest naturalistic representation of art in the New World and date to the tenth century BC. Cleanly repaired from several original pieces. 6 1/4" height x 2" width.
